Fisher Island is highly regarded as Miami’s most exclusive neighborhood. It occupies 216 acres of land just in 3 miles from Miami. The island was named after Carl G. Fisher, an American entrepreneur and beach real estate developer who previously owned it.
We certainly aren’t exaggerating when say that Fisher Island is home to the rich and famous. To give you some perspective, the island remains the wealthiest area in the entire United States due to the highest income per capita.
There are no bridges or causeways leading to this unique neighborhood. However, it remains accessible by a car/passenger ferry, by boat or by air. So you can be sure abut the remarkable security and safety on the island.

Fisher Island Infrastructure
Most of the local residents and workers use ferry to get there riding every 10-15 minutes. The whole way takes about 7 minutes. The primary transportation on the island is golf carts that helps to preserve ecological cleanness.
Fisher Island is equipped by its own fire and rescue station, post office, UHealth Medical Clinic as well as banks, grocery stores and markets. For those with kids, the island has a private school which covers Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade for both on-island and off-island residents.
Around 30% of the students come from off-island communities, predominantly the nearby neighborhoods of Star Island, Hibiscus Island, Palm Island, Venetian Islands, Sunset Islands, southern Miami Beach, and Coconut Grove.
